Luckily, we can count on you for the following:

• You contribute to projects involving new builds, conversions, and refits of vessels, ranging from workboats to +130m mega yachts.
• You can perform structural calculations for both local and global ship constructions.
• You perform these calculations for steel and aluminum structures: statics, buckling, modal, optimization
• You take responsibility for integrating deliverables into the ship design, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Do you have it in you?

• You have secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) in a field related.
• You bring at least four years of experience as a naval architect.

MULTI.engineering is currently looking for a Project Engineer Heavy Lifting for a project near Utrecht in The Netherlands. This can become a long term opportunity.

Tasks & responsibilities

Involvement in the process from A-Z (projects are in relation to decommissioning and installation);

Contribution in tender phase;

After reward continuing with engineering process (stability/lifting/structural calculations and more);

During operational phase presence on site can be an option;visiting subcontractors and engineering partners;writing procedures and manuals;co-operating with the rest of the project team.

You will work in an engineering office integrated with the shipyard, maintaining close contact with on-site project teams and production. This setup allows direct validation of progress and visibility of the assets under construction.

Your challenge

You ensure that all financial outputs reflect the technical reality on the ground. By maintaining a clear audit trail from scope through execution to invoicing, you safeguard margin, support client discussions, and enable decision‑grade financial control.

What you’ll do Analyze quotations, budgets, and contracts to define scope, deviations, and commercial exposure

Prepare and substantiate final invoices and variation quotes using labor, material, and project data Translate completed work into structured, transparent cost breakdowns aligned with agreed methods

Identify financial risks early and align mitigation strategies with the Project Manager Collect and verify additional work and repair data to ensure completeness and traceability

Maintain accurate financial and project records within the ERP system

Review and validate final invoices prior to client discussions

You will play a pivotal role in finalizing the design of our super yachts. Working alongside a team of fellow Engineers and under the guidance of a Senior Engineer,You will contribute to detailed designs, 3D models, and datasheets for projects within your expertise.

The special Engineering department is responsible for conceiving and designing solutions for doors, hatches, railings, and sunshades onboard our super yachts.

When developing solutions, you will consider factors such as material usage, production techniques, assembly, costs, and feasibility.

Your ongoing coordination with from colleagues work preparation and production departments will ensure the seamless realization of designs.
