Develop, annotate, and maintain shop drawings, hanger drawings, and sleeve drawings to support accurate field installation.
Create and export hanger and sleeve coordinates for use by the robotic total station layout team for precise field layout.
Communicate with field personnel as needed to ensure fabrication and installation intent is clearly represented in shop and spool drawings.
Mentor and train VDC team members in the effective use of modeling and collaboration software and in the creation of fabrication and installation drawings and documents.
Work collaboratively with other team members to complete drawings and models as required to meet project schedules and milestones.
Maintain training and continued education for yourself and the team to continually improve accuracy, productivity, and use of BIM tools.
Provide input to management regarding hardware and software requirements necessary to perform BIM and VDC duties effectively.
Enhance communication between functional business partners and project stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
Participate in job interviews when requested to speak to the capabilities and workflows of the VDC team.
Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to successfully reach project goals and deliverables.
Prepare and deliver presentations or participate in public speaking engagements related to project coordination or BIM/VDC processes when needed.
Essential Skills
