As an application engineer, you will program robot applications on-site at the customer in various industries and application areas. Your responsibilities also include commissioning, configurations, troubleshooting, and start-up support of robot systems. Another focus is the optimization of robot systems that are already in production. Your assignments will preferably take place in the federal states of NRW, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.
In some projects, we also support our foreign subsidiaries or accompany the restart of a customer project that is delivered abroad. As part of a project, you will be involved in project discussions and decisions. For special cases, you will adapt Kuka standard software packages to customer needs. After implementation, you will conduct customer personnel training and accompany the acceptance.
After the project completion, you will create documentation of the robot application as needed for the customer. Another focus is to support the customer within the framework of our new service portfolio "Safety Services" in the consultation and execution in the handling of robot safety. After your training, you will support in the planning phase in clarifying the technical requirements and work on the creation of technical offer templates.
Furthermore, your duties include customer meetings at the company or on-site. For more complex inquiries, you will validate the technical feasibility in the laboratory environment and present your solution approaches to sales/customer. Within the company, you will work closely with sales, the simulation department, and other departments/subsidiaries of the customer service.
What you need to succeed
- Completed bachelor's/master's degree/engineer or technician in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or comparable knowledge.
- Professional experience in automation for programming industrial robots and PLC programming experience in high-level languages such as C# or Java.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Windows, computer networks.
- Experience in the field of robotics and plant construction is advantageous.
- Team capability and interest in other cultures.
- Independent, project-oriented and structured working style.
- Mobility, flexibility, and commitment to our customers. Assignments usually take place on-site at our customers.
- Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
