Architectural Surveyor
The Architectural Surveyor will travel across the country to perform surveying duties using digital cameras for retail and commercial sites. This role involves conducting condition assessments on buildings and drafting findings into AutoCAD. Typically, the surveyor will complete 2 or 3 surveys per week, with site visits taking 3-4 hours, or longer for larger sites. Responsibilities include collecting utility locations, MEP information such as make/model of existing equipment, electrical panel location, and service locations.
Surveys may require accessing roofs and using ladders. Training will be provided for survey duties.
- Conduct condition assessments on retail and commercial buildings.
- Draft survey findings into AutoCAD.
- Collect utility locations, including MEP information such as make/model of existing equipment, electrical panel location, and service locations.
- Gather architectural information and ceiling dimensions.
- Access roofs and use ladders to survey fixtures.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Knowledge of architecture processes and construction documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in architectural drawing and surveying.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
This role involves traveling to sites 75% of the time and working from home for drafting and report writing 25% of the time. Typically, you will work 50-55 hours per week, including 10-15 hours of paid travel time. The company will handle flight bookings, and will cover expenses for food, gas, and transportation. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
