Forensic Engineer Inspector (Greensboro, NC)

Trinity Engineering, PLLC is seeking a Forensic Engineer Inspector who will conduct on-site inspections throughout the surrounding region and then work from a home office to complete documentation. The position is remote; we provide a pickup truck, ladders, and all tools, equipment, and training necessary to become an industry expert, regardless of your engineering background.

Drive to and perform field inspections of commercial, residential, and municipal buildings (interior and exterior). Inspections may include climbing on steep and high roofs.

Document findings with labeled photos, field notes, sketches, and written reports using company‑provided software and training.

This is a remote position.

Must have a PE license or be eligible for licensing within one month of hire. No other experience is required; in‑depth training will take you from zero experience to an industry expert.

• Increased starting salaries are available for candidates with a structural background, roofing, construction code verification, structural damage assessment, flood or water loss evaluation, settlement or geotechnical failures, or root‑cause analyses.
• Experienced candidates are eligible for higher starting salaries and earlier entry to the bonus incentive program.

• PE license from your resident state or ability to obtain a PE license within one month of hire.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, position, climb up and down an extension ladder up to 36 ft, and walk on sloped roofing surfaces (safety equipment and training provided).
• Excellent computer skills (no coding experience necessary).
• Valid driver’s license and clean/safe driving record.
• Comfortable with a flexible schedule – office will set appointments on inspection days and provide report days for working from home.

• Starting salary $80,000 to $150,000.
