Overview
Kimley-Horn's Pearland, Texas (TX) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities- Perform site development engineering and project management tasks across a variety of projects
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
- Projects will include a variety of land development site designs
- Support research, coordination, project management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
- Support plan production, project financials, and client interactions
- This position requires 10% domestic travel
- Remote work from home acceptable as projects permit within reasonable commuting distance of the Pearland, TX office
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering. Also requires education, training or experience in the following:
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months);
- Experience working under a licensed professional engineer to assist in private development, public improvements and structural design projects;
- Preparing construction drawings and documents in CAD software including AutoCAD and Microstation;
- Using StormCAD, Hydroflow, ICPR and other industry accepted software and development of hydrology studies;
- Preparing paperwork and deliverables for client submittals.
