The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S.
This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year.
The candidate will act as the Area Superintendent on the upcoming project. The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, VA or Cheyenne, Wyoming, as single status, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long‑term assignment to Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position is contingent upon project award.
Job SummaryAs the Area Superintendent ( Aeros), you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

- Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisition s for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
- Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. active
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university (or international equivalent), plus a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience; or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction engineering practices related to all disciplines.
- Experience in the installation of package turbines and/or other similar equipment.
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling, procurement, and contracting experience.
- Maintain, promote and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft
- Able to work extended work schedules and night shift as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
- Extensive experience in civil construction of large projects.
- Sound understanding of performance management processes.
