Job DescriptionMuller Engineering Company is seeking a motivated and highly skilled transportation engineering professional to join our growing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee design and analysis of freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.
- Prepare and review studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation design and planning projects.
- Prepare detailed project work scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and delivery plans that ensure excellence.
- Guide and manage teams of talented project and design engineers to deliver high‑quality projects on time and within budget.
- Champion business development and marketing efforts, resulting in the acquisition of new projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 12+ years of experience in the design of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professional with strong organizational skills.
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs that support our client’s overall project goals.
- Proficiency and familiarity with industry related software such as Micro Station, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
- Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards.
Active Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to transfer a license from another state within 6 months of hire.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $170,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on education, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
