Field Service Engineer Summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer sites, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. May develop new customer service/product agreements. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.

This position reports to the Area Service Manager and is part of the Hardware Solutions team. The associate will be fully Remote (based in NJ) to cover New Jersey and surrounding area.

• Technical:
  Meet daily service repair needs of customers’ equipment by driving customer satisfaction through service excellence: basic troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair needs on designated equipment, as well as ordering and maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Customer Service:
  Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure resolution and accurate follow-up; utilize documented processes and root cause analysis to resolve customer service issues and drive customer satisfaction.
• Lead Generation:
  Drive service business growth in the form of sales actions for service agreements, parts, upgrades, consumables, and equipment leads.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, OR relevant degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other STEM field. Equivalent military training OR Associate’s degree with 2+ years work experience.

• Ability to travel – 35% travel, overnight, within territory or locations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb; other physical requirements as needed.

• Technical:
  Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment preferred.

Remote work arrangement:
Eligible to work remotely from home with travel up to 35% of the time and required to respond to travel at short notice.

The annual salary range is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
