Senior Civil Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, VA or Fairfax, VA. This role involves leading and overseeing the development of site designs on various land development projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software platforms. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical proficiency in civil engineering design and will support project staff in all aspects of project execution.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the development of site designs on various land development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software platforms.
- Lead the development of design and technical documents through all phases of projects.
- Develop design efficiencies using Civil 3D software.
- Oversee and lead the design efforts for water and sanitary sewer design and subdivision plans.
- Develop construction drawings and work with internal production staff to meet deadlines for site development projects including site layout, grading, geometry, utilities, and storm drainage for commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
- Develop planning studies, preliminary and final design plan production, and project permitting.
- Develop erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on own work.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- 3-10+ years of experience within land development design projects (stormwater management, site grading, erosion & sediment control, etc.).
- EIT Certification and/or PE License is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience working on local projects in Northern VA (DMV) is preferred.
The work environment is an open office with a collaborative and family-oriented culture. After the initial 30-90 days, there is a hybrid schedule option allowing for remote work 2-3 days per week, with flexibility to choose which days. Every third week of the month is a 'core week' requiring in-office presence for all five days. Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
