What You Will Do
  • Develop, revise, and maintain AutoCAD drawings, models, and designs from verbal directions, hand drawn sketches, and existing hard copy drawings.
  • Use preliminary sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate conceptual layouts for notional facility systems using CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Support site surveys for facility infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop facility requirements and design development documents for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
  • Work with Architect/Engineering contractors on facility design effort.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and construction specifications.
  • Document and manage action items, field issues, and change requests including coordination with home office engineering, equipment suppliers, and onsite teams.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work activities with Raytheon, government, and subcontractors.
  • Have extensive knowledge of DoD codes and standards, including Unified Facility Codes for site installations.
  • Travel 20% domestically and internationally, including multiple‑week duration trips.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically a STEM degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience leading a team with cost and schedule responsibilities.
  • Experience working across multiple product lifecycle stages of a radar production program.
  • Experience working across multiple functional and discipline organizations to resolve technical challenges.
  • Proficiency with drafting software including Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with building codes for commercial, industrial and DoD facilities.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or hardware system design.
  • Experience developing Facility Requirement Documents and working in high‑energy, rapid‑turn environments.
  • Willingness to learn and overcome challenges to achieve team success.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and orientation to produce high‑quality work products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (spreadsheet, word processing).
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team.

  • Competitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
