Job Description & How to Apply Below

Millig Design Build is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems in ground-up and retrofit situations, support decarbonization planning and design, and develop facility improvement projects within our fully integrated team.

This candidate will have the opportunity to join our rapidly growing engineering team of the best engineers in the country in designing systems to make buildings healthier, safer, and more energy efficient. Our clients include major universities, international manufacturers, state governments, counties, and school districts.

Our engineering team is a critical part of our design-build process, responsible for designing MEP projects that Millig also constructs and commissions. This approach ensures the highest level of quality and control from initial concept through completion. As an engineer on Millig’s projects, you will have the unique opportunity to directly support your designs as they are built, and because we integrate engineering with construction, our focus is always on quality, not billable hours.

Millig values creativity, practicality, and proficiency in this position. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses strong teamwork and communication skills.

Location

This role can be based out of our Lenexa, KS or Centennial, CO office with hybrid or remote work schedule.

Minimal travel is required.

Auditing and Site Assessment
  • Support the completion of preliminary and detailed facility studies to identify energy conservation opportunities and required system renewal projects.
  • Lead the technical analysis, calculations, and simulations for system loads and performance.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants, designers, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Interact with our in-house construction and estimating team to develop, review and in some instances, iterate, on cost estimates and design concepts.
