Entry-Level Engineer
We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh or Columbus offices. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Station In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.
A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design various natural gas projects
- Prepare design and construction plans using local and state standards
- Coordinate preparation of permit submittals
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Document design changes and communications
- Administrative tasks
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Assist in survey tasks
- Develop field inventory of gas facilities
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including: client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Skills/
Experience:
- 0 - 3 years of related experience required
- Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Station In Roads is preferred
