Job SummaryThe Field Project Controls Scheduler supports project planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring activities for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. Under general supervision, this role assists with schedule development and maintenance, project controls reporting, earned value analysis, and risk assessment. The position collaborates with project teams to ensure accurate project tracking, identify potential risks, and support effective project execution.
Job Description- Perform project controls assignments according to training, capability, and experience.
- Assist in the preparation of larger and more complex project controls assignments as experience and capabilities increase.
- Develop an understanding of EPC work processes and dependencies between functions.
- Develop project risk analysis skills.
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of Level I and Level II schedules.
- Lead schedule development and maintenance activities, including fragnet identification and resource leveling.
- Lead critical path and float analysis reporting.
- Develop and maintain earned value reports.
- Gain an understanding of key cost control processes.
- 6-8 years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), including network diagrams, leads, lags, and critical path analysis.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure project performance against schedule and cost baselines.
- Strong risk analysis and forecasting skills, including identifying potential schedule impacts and opportunities.
Experience in change management, including assessing and documenting the impact of scope changes on project schedules. - Knowledge of resource allocation and planning to optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Ability to develop and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for complex projects.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Four-year Bachelor's degree
