Aircraft Engine Mechanic

Kalitta Turbines is a certified FAA Repair Station and has been maintaining, servicing, and repairing TFE
731 and CF34‑3 engines since 1986. With an extensive inventory and expertise in turbine engines, Kalitta Turbines can provide critical parts and services to keep aircraft operational at all times. Must be able to multi‑task, respect / maintain confidentiality, be service oriented, be trustworthy / ethical, and be sensitive / respectful of diverse populations / cultures. Must work at a fast pace and handle stress and problematic issues well with a good attitude.

• Disassemble, inspect, and assemble engines in accordance with manufacturers’ manuals.
• Perform engine removals and installations on‑wing.
• Be proficient in reading OEM manuals and precision measuring tools.
• Perform repair processes to engine components.

• Aircraft Engine experience preferred.
• Experience with CF34 and TFE‑731 Engines preferred.
• Airframe & Powerplant License required.

• High School Graduate or GED.

• Must pass DOT/FAA pre‑employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
• Understand, read, and write English.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible, motivated, resourceful, energetic, organized, and able to manage and be managed.
• Ability to multi‑task, respect, and maintain confidentiality.
• Service oriented and able to work at a fast pace and handle stress and problematic issues well with a good attitude.
• Communicate effectively and work within a team‑focused environment.

• Employees are regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Moderate to heavy lifting is required.

• Operation based in Ypsilanti, MI.
• There is no ability to work from home.

• Must be available full‑time and work overtime when required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
