Job Description
Brooks is looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Atmospheric Systems Engineering) as we accelerate our growth journey.
What you'll do:
- Participate in all aspects of mechanical design and development of new products, owning the full life cycle from concept through production release.
- Design new products for the semiconductor industry and develop new mechanical features for existing products.
- Produce and release 3D models, drawings, and BOMs in accordance with Brooks processes.
- Work cooperatively with electrical and software engineering to ensure new product designs meet market and customer requirements.
- Understand and communicate the cost impact of new designs.
- Build prototypes.
- Support operations, supply chain, field service, and quality organizations to sustain product lines and ensure reliable performance.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automation product development environment, with knowledge of semiconductor equipment.
- 3D CAD modeling (ProE & Solidworks) and FEA/CFD analysis of mechanical designs.
- Knowledge of robotic mechanisms, including motors, bearings, sensors, and actuators.
- Working knowledge of automation controls, robotics, and semiconductor system integration.
- Understanding of materials and good design practices for selected material choices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to prepare technical reports and presentations and interact with suppliers, supply chain, and operations.
- Hands‑on skill for assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Ability to estimate tasks for project completion and adhere to schedules.
- Knowledge of SEMI standards is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/AgileEC is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $84,178.82 to $ USD. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
