Your work will directly impact the reliability and modernization of the electrical grid. You'll lead the design and analysis of high-voltage lines, perform critical calculations, and oversee structural steel and foundation designs. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of transmission line engineering experience, deep proficiency with PLS-CADD, and a bachelor's degree in engineering. A PE license is a strong plus. You are comfortable working independently, coordinating across disciplines, and interfacing with clients. You thrive on technically demanding challenges and enjoy guiding others.
Compensation is competitive, with base salary ranging from $142,000 to $293,000 based on location, plus bonus and ESOP. Full benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Non-Negotiables- You must hold a bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- You must have at least five years of directly related transmission line engineering experience
- You must be proficient in PLS-CADD software; PLS-POLE experience is a plus
- You must possess strong knowledge of overhead transmission line design from 69kV to 500kV and above
- You must have experience with utility-scale electrical transmission systems
- You must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review
- You will earn a competitive base salary ranging up to $293,000, depending on your location and experience

- You will lead transmission line design and analysis for large-scale 345kV and above rebuild and greenfield projects
- You will perform and oversee engineering calculations in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements
- You will design transmission steel structures and foundations using 3D analysis and design software
- You will develop equipment and material recommendations while managing project scope, budget, and schedule
- You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers
- You will coordinate across disciplines and serve as the responsible charge on assigned projects
- You will maintain and develop departmental design guides, standards, and quality processes, and support business development
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Experience with HVDC or 765kV transmission projects will set you apart
- Structural design experience using 3D analysis software for both steel and concrete is a strong plus
- Prior client-facing experience with involvement in business development activities is valued
- Familiarity with NESC, ASCE, and IEEE standards is beneficial
