Our Parsons Corona, California office is now hiring an Engineer I to support major road, highway projects for Caltrans, and projects for Rail & Transit Agencies.
We offer a hybrid remote working scenario for this role (meaning ability to work from home 1-2 days per week). This role does require reporting to our Corona office weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing design calculations, standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, technical reports, 3D modeling, design and engineering plans for assigned projects.
- Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
- Performs a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this level has experience and an increasing proficiency in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and Company procedures.
- Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 3-5 years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
Skills/
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
- Experience in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, and/or Open Roads is desirable.

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $
