Lead Project Manager
We are seeking an accomplished Lead Project Manager to join our Industrial Wastewater Operations & Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and compliant operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems while ensuring financial success across multiple projects. This role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of wastewater operations, a commitment to safety, and strong project management skills.
You will also oversee the work of 6 Field Operators/Technicians.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and quality standards in wastewater operations.
- Promote adherence to safety protocols and prepare Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) as required.
- Client & Team Interaction:
- Engage with client organizations, including engineering departments and site managers, to foster effective communication.
- Travel to client sites up to 50% of the time and utilize computer-based maintenance programs for reporting.
- Compile and present field data in comprehensive client-facing reports.
- Project Management & Financial Oversight:
- Manage multiple O&M projects with full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, including monthly reporting and invoice processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and assist in estimating project materials and labor.
- Operations & Maintenance:
- Lead, train, and coordinate the work of O&M staff, and manage subcontractors and vendors.
- Oversee troubleshooting, emergency response efforts, and the operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, light repairs, and process chemical adjustments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial wastewater operations or a related field.
- Valid wastewater license and strong technical knowledge in wastewater treatment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage projects effectively.
- Self-motivated, dependable team player with a commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards.
This position offers the flexibility of a full remote work option, allowing for adaptability in managing diverse projects. Competitive benefits are available as part of the compensation package. Best if candidates are located in the Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina areas as projects will be within these 3 locations that you would travel to.
