** Staff Mechanical Engineer
** in our Research & Development team, you will support multiple business units across the organization by leading the design and development of life-changing devices that directly impact patient outcomes. You will need to live within commuting distance to our Portage, Michigan office as this is a hybrid role and you will need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.

** What You Will Do*
* + Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision.

+ Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions.

+ Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance.

+ Identify and resolve complex design issues using data-driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices.

+ Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through launch.

** What You Will Need*
* ** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).

+ Minimum four years of relevant engineering experience.

+ Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.

+ Proficiency in engineering drawing creation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

+ Experience in project management and financial analysis.

Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

+ Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

+ Familiarity with risk management and quality systems in a regulated environment.

+ Previous experience in medical device or regulated industry.

** USN** : $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
