Process Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities- Develop process and technology solutions that support innovation programs and commercialization.
- Lead and support end-to-end process development from early definition to project commercialization and design optimization.
- Execute plans to optimize and improve manufacturing and converting processes for existing product forms, and direct evolutionary changes as business conditions change.
- Establish equipment designs that deliver against process and product success criteria.
- Provide creative design, development, and optimization of Personal Care converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet business unit objectives.
- Collaborate with product, material, and engineering leads to provide guidance on design, development, and optimization of converting equipment and processes.
- Apply engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management to support process development and documentation.
- Ensure all engineering work meets safety codes, policies, and guidelines to protect operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
- Identify and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.
- Report to the R&E Senior Manager and receive directions in the form of specific and broadly defined project objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Analytical skills to collect and assess data to support technical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assignments in an acceptable manner.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and support projects on a self‑directed basis.
- Team‑oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to perform in a team‑based environment.
- Travel up to 30% as needed.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical knowledge and experience with high‑speed manufacturing equipment.
- Prior exposure to plant/manufacturing sites.
- Knowledge of materials and their interactions with high‑speed process equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering experience is desirable for process engineers.

Neenah, Wisconsin – West R&E Office
Compensation: Salary Range: 79,880 – 94,440 USD (US locations only). Compensation includes base pay, target bonus, and benefits.
