Role Overview

Framatome is a major international player in the nuclear energy market. The Instrumentation Group Leader leads a specialist team of Engineers, Contract and Technical engineering Leads within EPR‑E. They ensure the accurate completion and verification of electrical engineering deliverables to be issued to the Customer (NNB) and other disciplines in accordance with technical requirements and the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supplier contracts and monitor the design and manufacturing of process sensors and specific instrumentation.
  • Drive the preparation of electrical design studies related to instrumentation.
  • Follow up on procurement contracts, mainly focused on interface with cabling and connecting activities.
  • Organise, report, and monitor the progress of the team delivery scope.
  • Interface with the front office to incorporate site feedback impacting studies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other engineering disciplines, EDF CNEPE, suppliers, and the client (NNB).
  • Provide technical leadership, health and safety, work planning, succession management, quality assurance, skill development, and budgeting.
  • Verify the quality of documents in line with technical, nuclear safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide input to other disciplines on quality, workload, schedule, resources, and budget issues within their group.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Monitor team resources, processes, and workload to ensure optimum performance.
Profile – Qualifications
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience of electrical engineering or relevant experience supporting nuclear operating fleet.
  • Relevant experience in team management.
  • Experience effectively managing own and team’s workload to respect deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English.
  • Proactive communication skills with remote offices including France and Germany.
  • Proactive in developing positive working relations within the project.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge of EPR system design sequences, I&C or Safety Classification sequences, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing transverse technical and contractual topics.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage numerous interfaces, and understand downstream disciplines’ imperatives.
  • Knowledge of cable sizing and cabling tools.
  • Knowledge of UK licensing requirements and application within a nuclear project.
