BALA Structures Group is seeking a motivated structural engineer with 10 years of experience for the New York office. Strong interpersonal skills for developing client relationships is a must. We are looking at qualified applicants with diverse backgrounds to help continue to grow the Structures group at Bala.
Scope of the role- Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs of new construction, renovations and additions.
- Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
- Support BALA’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit‑out projects.
- Adapt to the varieties of business sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
- In addition, support any path within the realm of structural engineer that aligns with BALA’s vision.
- Structural Engineering or Civil Degree with structural emphasis from an accredited institution.
- Registered EIT with a focus on Structural Engineering;
Registered PE preferred. - 10+ years experience in structural design of buildings.
- Creative problem‑solving skills.
- Capable of working individually, and in a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative work situations.
- A drive for thorough research and multi‑disciplinary curiosities.
