Position OverviewJoin our client as a Senior Structural Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in restoring and preserving the integrity of existing buildings. This is your chance to work on diverse and challenging projects that make a real impact on our built environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, and overseeing the implementation of structural repairs and restorations to ensure the longevity and safety of various structures.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose structural issues in existing buildings.
- Design innovative and effective restoration solutions.
- Oversee construction to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with owners, contractors, and stakeholders to bring projects to life.
- Develop and enhance customer relationships through the delivery of excellent service and problem‑solving abilities.
- Offer technical assistance to Business Development Representatives for both potential and current clients.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulations to implement best practices.
- Regularly participate in technical seminars and training sessions to maintain and enhance subject‑matter expertise.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with 6+ years of experience in concrete construction, repair, restoration, or forensic investigation; or 12+ years of relevant concrete design experience (without a P.E. license) or 7+ years in concrete restoration/forensic work.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Preferred experience with non‑destructive testing tools like ground‑penetrating radar, half‑cell potential, and similar diagnostic equipment.
- In‑depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, OSHA regulations, and relevant standards.
- High technical aptitude and excellent problem‑solving abilities.
