Position Summary

Transportation Project Manager (Towson or Rockville, Maryland). Full‑time role with 8‑12 years of experience. Flexible remote work options (2‑3 days per week from home).

Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.
  • 8‑12 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with project management experience.
  • Proficiency with Micro Station/Open Roads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead multi‑discipline teams on transportation design projects, focusing on multi‑modal roadway projects.
  • Act as liaison between client and project team, including external stakeholder agencies.
  • Manage all technical resources, including subconsultants.
  • Prepare task proposals, set project pricing and budgets.
  • Develop project management plans and prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Create and maintain project schedules.
  • Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.
  • Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics/renderings).
  • Support Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
