About the RoleAs FJD Trion expands its 3D reality capture business in Central Europe, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with hands‑on experience in 3D laser scanning, surveying or point‑cloud workflows.
You will be responsible for developing the local market, conducting product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept projects, supporting customers with scanning workflows, and building a strong distributor and partner network.
We also welcome experienced surveyors, reality capture specialists and application engineers who are interested in moving into a customer‑facing, consultative sales role.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities for FJD Trion 3D laser scanning solutions across surveying, AEC, BIM, construction digitization and digital twin applications.
- Conduct field demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept projects, advising customers on data capture, registration, georeferencing, point‑cloud processing and project delivery.
- Build and manage relationships with local distributors, surveying companies, engineering firms and reality capture service providers.
- Deliver product and workflow training to dealers, partners and end users.
- Understand customer workflows and work with internal product teams to develop suitable technical and commercial solutions.
- Collect market intelligence, competitor information and user feedback to support product and regional sales strategy.
- Manage the sales process from lead qualification and technical demonstration through quotation, negotiation and closing.
- At least 2 years of experience in 3D laser scanning, reality capture, geomatics, surveying, mobile mapping or related geospatial technologies.
- Practical experience with terrestrial laser scanners, mobile mapping systems, SLAM scanners or point‑cloud processing software.
- Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, Reality Capture Specialist, Surveyor, Geomatics Engineer or Technical Support Engineer is relevant to this position.
- Strong ability to explain technical workflows, conduct field demonstrations and identify customer requirements.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in developing customer and distributor relationships; previous full‑cycle sales experience is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with strong technical expertise.
- Professional English and fluency in at least one local Central European language.
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits, demonstrations, training and industry exhibitions.
- Valid driving licence.
- Ownership of a growing 3D reality capture market in Central Europe.
