Piping Designer – Oil & Gas Facilities

Looking for a role where you can take ownership of design work and see your projects through from concept to construction—without being tied to the office every day? This is a remote-friendly opportunity to work on complex, high-impact oil & gas facility projects within a collaborative EPCM environment.

We're hiring a Piping Designer who brings strong AutoCAD and 3D design experience, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, constructible designs.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Remote flexibility with options for hybrid or occasional in-office collaboration
  • Work on diverse, technically challenging projects across gas, liquids, CO₂, and facility design
  • Full involvement in design lifecycle—from concept to as-builts
  • Strong project stability with repeat clients and steady workflow
  • Highly competitive bonus structure tied to performance
  • Collaborative, tight-knit team where your work is visible and valued
What You'll Do
  • Develop detailed piping and mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and 3D CAD tools
  • Create facility layouts, general arrangements, and P&IDs for oil & gas projects
  • Build complete piping design packages, including plot plans, sections, details, and bills of material
  • Determine piping routing, nozzle orientations, and layout requirements for safe and efficient operations
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, civil, electrical, mapping, and project management teams
  • Use P&IDs and plot plans to develop accurate, constructible designs
  • Perform thorough QA/QC checks and participate in peer and squad reviews to ensure quality
  • Manage drawing revisions and documentation across all phases (IFC, bid, approval, as-built)
  • Support interdisciplinary design reviews to prevent clashes and optimize layouts
  • Assist with as-built drawings and documentation during and after construction
  • Communicate design updates and impacts to project teams, ensuring alignment on scope and schedule
What You Bring
  • 6+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas or industrial facilities
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D piping design tools
  • Experience designing compressor stations, meter/reg stations, pipelines, and processing facilities
  • Ability to read and develop P&IDs, plot plans, and construction drawings
  • Experience creating full piping drawing packages and material takeoffs
  • Strong understanding of facility layout, piping routing, and constructability
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
  • Solid QA/QC experience, including reviewing your own work and others'
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting or equivalent experience
Work Environment & Flexibility
  • Remote-first approach for experienced designers
  • Open to candidates nationwide, with occasional travel or office visits as needed
  • Optional hybrid access for those near a local office
  • Collaborative team of ~35–50 professionals across engineering, design, and field services

You'll be part of a team delivering full-service EPCM solutions—from early project development through construction and operations support—giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects and design challenges.

Why Join

This is a great opportunity for a piping designer who wants technical ownership, flexibility, and long-term stability. You'll work on meaningful projects, collaborate with a strong team, and have the freedom to do your best work—whether remote or in-office.
