In the Product Engineer II role, you will participate and contribute in the development and/or application of Company products with impact on the corporation through knowledge and application of engineering and filtration principles.
Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.
Responsibilities- Engineer engine liquid filtration products that are manufacturable and within project design guidelines to maintain or improve the company's product leadership position in the industry.
- Lead weekly customer meetings, recognize customer input and translate needs into high quality products.
- Develop DVP&R plans and coordinate the validation of designs.
- Lead projects through a stage-gate product development process in support of meeting product performance, reliability, cost and project schedule goals.
- Clearly and concisely communicate technical results orally and in written format for appropriate company, customer, and vendor use.
- Support engineering development and the implementation of continuous improvement projects to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of current products.
Travel: Up to 15%
Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related engineering field
- Two years of experience in engineering or product development
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage through competing projects efficiently with good attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to present and communicate technical concepts
- Proficient in MS Office:
Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point - Fundamental knowledge of diesel engine operation
- Plastic injection molding or die casting
- Filtration knowledge/experience
- Fluid mechanics or CFD experience
- Lean six-sigma experience
Annual Salary Range : $71,900 - $91,700 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
