Location: Forest Park, GA
Duration: August 1, 2026 – August 1, 2029
Pay Rate: $36.64/hr
Shift Timings: Hybrid Schedule – 4 days/week in office, typically work from home on Fridays.
We are seeking an experienced Engineer 2 to support the design, planning, and construction of power-related systems. The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles, design standards, and software applications to develop engineering solutions, prepare construction packages, estimate project costs, and support field operations. This role also involves collaborating with contractors, plant personnel, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining safety and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and support the construction of power-related systems.
- Prepare engineering estimates, design options, and construction specifications.
- Develop and review construction packages and engineering documentation.
- Provide guidance and quality assurance reviews for engineering contractors.
- Support construction and maintenance teams during project execution.
- Estimate project materials and coordinate engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and plant personnel.
- Strong engineering knowledge and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Experience with engineering design processes and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in engineering/design software applications.
- Ability to make independent decisions while following established procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of utility or power generation engineering practices is preferred.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience in power systems, utility engineering, or related engineering design/construction environments is preferred.
