Why We Recruit

IT Link is looking for an engineer in operational safety to guarantee the reliability and safety of its systems in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

The position is based at the client's premises, a major French industrial group active in this sector.

Your daily missions:

As an engineer in operational safety and within the framework of an extension of the life of sensitive equipment (notably missiles), you will join a multidisciplinary team and intervene on:

• The elaboration of risk analysis documents:
  Preliminary Risk Analyses (PRA), the establishment of the list of feared events (FE) and the analysis of common modes of failure.
• The realization of failure and reliability studies:
  Failure Modes Trees (and fault trees) according to IEC 61025, Preliminary System FMEA and Equipment FMEAs.
• FMDT studies (Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, Testability) and the establishment of a Reliability Dossier that will bring together these elements.
• Reliability calculations: with files of calculations of the probability of occurrence of basic events of the FE and the realization/update of the FIDES life profile.
• The elaboration of safety and requirements reports: safety analyses (security architectures, requirements, recommendations, etc.), the security architecture report and the allocation of reliability requirements report.
• The management of regulatory requirements and documentation: REACH/RoHS analyses and the breakdown of safety instructions in User Technical Documentations (DTU).

This position is for you if...

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in operational safety.
• You have previously been cleared Secret or you can claim this clearance.
• You master the FIDES reliability methodology or have solid experience in the Aerospace / Defense domain — a real plus for this position!
• If not, a good knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508, EN 50126, 50128, 50129, ISO 26262), acquired in the railway or automotive sectors will also be an excellent asset.

However, the position may not suit you if...

• You are not eligible for Secret clearance.
• You have no interest in the military and aeronautical environment.
• You do not wish to work on defense projects, particularly those related to missiles and armament.
• You are not ready to work on site every day (no remote work), due to security and defense constraints.
