40-hour work week. Start times may be as early as 6:30 AM depending on site POD meetings. - Travel Requirements:
Periodic travel to Fort Morgan, Pueblo, and renewable sites. Mileage may be reimbursed for eligible business travel. No per diem provided. - Work Authorization:

This role consists of two E&C Engineer II positions reporting to a project lead and supporting Colorado generating facilities. Projects include Fort Morgan gas generation, Pueblo coal-fired generation, and renewable wind/hydro assets across eastern Colorado. Engineers manage projects from initiation through planning, design, construction, and closeout, delivering projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget.
On a typical day, engineers attend POD (Plan of Day) meetings when at plant sites, update project lead sheets and forecasts, coordinate and source contractors, oversee contractor and safety compliance, manage lockout/tagout and safety processes, perform project planning and execution, and provide project status updates.
There is no direct people management; the role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and contractor performance. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment with significant cross-functional interaction among project managers, engineers, operations personnel, and leadership.

- Manage projects from initiation through planning, design, construction, and closeout
- Deliver projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget
- Support internal business operations and oversee adherence to safety requirements for assigned projects
- Work with operations managers, plant reliability engineers, plant directors, project managers, engineers, and plant operations teams
Ramp-Up Expectations:

Independently lead project updates, provide status reporting, identify resource needs, and deliver accurate project spending forecasts

- Preferred engineering disciplines:
Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering - Preferred industry background:
Utility generation, utilities, oil & gas refining, manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, or other large industrial environments - Clear communication, organization, prioritization, teamwork, willingness to learn, continuous professional growth, and problem solving
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Candidates with as little as 3 years of experience may be considered if experience is directly related to utility-scale generation
- Typically 5–7 years of engineering/project experience preferred
