We are seeking highly experienced, self‑driven Construction Engineer 4 candidates who excel in a collaborative environment and can effectively manage engineering projects of varying size and complexity. In this role, you will support one of our key engineering value streams:
Buildings & Grounds, Waterfront, or Utilities. Placement will be determined based on the alignment of your skills and expertise with organizational needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical experience, initiative, and a team‑oriented mindset. You will help coordinate a variety of engineering projects that support critical facility improvements across the shipyard.

• Plans, designs and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.
• Prepares architectural, engineering, and cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Obtains and supervises outside contractors. Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.
• Supervises the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.
• Conducts construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.
• Provides engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices.

Additional areas of responsibility include and are not limited to:

• Reviews and estimates design/construction costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Develops and reviews project plans concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion dates, and construction feasibility.
• Prepares bid documents and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Perform code evaluations, conduct building assessments, space planning and respond to emergent related issues in a fast paced, large industrial campus/complex setting.
• Directing work assignments of consultants and contractors to ensure shipyard facilities and structures are constructed and maintained in a safe condition.
