Job Description
Motorola is looking for a full‑time engineer to support the United States Postal Service Project. US citizenship is required.
Responsibilities include performing site surveys and mapping to optimize existing systems or design new Motorola P25 installations. The engineer will design antenna locations, cable runs, block diagrams, floor plans, antenna system diagrams, and rack diagrams using Visi, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
Tasks also involve frequency analysis and proficiency with PIM, PIP, VHF, UHF, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, and IP network concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3, subnets).
The role requires traveling throughout the United States up to 50% of the year. Experience with cellular networks (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint) and public‑safety systems (police, fire, FEMA) is preferred.
Additional qualifications:
Motorola LMR design experience, AutoCAD proficiency, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.
Work hours Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Remote work is temporary; the engineer will report to the Linthicum office after the training period. Training lasts one month. TEKsystems will handle travel accommodations, hotel, car, and meal reimbursement.
