Transportation Project Manager - Civil Engineering

AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8–12 years of experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office. The position is full-time and offers the flexibility to work from home 2–3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.

• Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C. (Required).
• 8–12 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project‑management experience.
• Proficiency with Micro Station/Open Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Lead multi‑discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi‑modal roadway projects.
• Serve as liaison between client and project team, including external stakeholder agencies.
• Manage all technical resources on the project team, including subconsultants.
• Prepare task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets.
• Develop project‑management plans and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Provide quality‑control reviews of submittals and deliverables.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics/renderings, etc.).
• Assist Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
