We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design/Engineer Project Manager to join our growing Denver team.

This role is primarily responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects from pursuit through construction while leveraging strong mechanical design expertise to deliver exceptional technical solutions. The successful candidate will manage project scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams while remaining actively engaged in mechanical system design and technical decision‑making. • Manage mechanical engineering projects from planning through construction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Develop project scopes, work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and project execution strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across multiple Mazzetti offices.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability while proactively identifying and resolving project risks.
• Facilitate project meetings and coordinate communication among clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.

• Lead or perform the design of HVAC and mechanical building systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, equipment selections, and system studies.
• Prepare or oversee construction documents, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for quality, constructability, code compliance, and technical excellence.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and specialty disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, client requirements, and Mazzetti quality expectations.

• Support projects during construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, participating in site visits, and resolving technical issues.
• Coordinate with contractors, owners, and project teams to support successful project delivery through project completion.

• Support project pursuits through proposals, interviews, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that foster repeat business.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients.
• Represent Mazzetti professionally within the local market and industry.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers and designers.
• Support collaboration across Mazzetti’s disciplines and practices.
• Participate in quality control reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the Mechanical discipline.

This is a hybrid position based in the Denver, CO area, including primarily working from home, bi‑weekly client site visits in the area, and occasional presence in our Denver office as needed for project collaboration and team‑building activities.

Approximately 10–20% travel, primarily within Colorado with occasional domestic travel based on project assignments.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent mechanical design experience.
