Overview
Leidos Engineering is seeking a Project Scheduler to assist in the oversight and coordination of projects for a large electric utility client. Ideal candidates have a strong background in scheduling complex projects and programs related to the planning, design, and construction of electrical grid infrastructure. The role involves client‑facing responsibilities and requires expertise navigating the regulatory landscape to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
LocationHybrid in nature with remote working capabilities. Periodic travel to client sites throughout the Kentucky area, including Louisville and Lexington, may be required.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and drive engineering and construction schedules for transmission and distribution projects for public‑owned and investor‑owned electric utilities across the United States.
- Work with Project Management using earned value management techniques to ensure schedule and cost alignment, including development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
- Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables.
- Develop and produce weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, including resource loading analysis, critical path items, and risk analysis.
- Interface directly with the client and internal management to report progress, schedule, and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects.
- Assist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Finance.
- Minimum of three (3)+ years of relevant Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
- Recent and in-depth knowledge of electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design.
- Capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks.
- Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
- Effective interaction with customer representatives.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office suite with a heavy emphasis on MS Excel.
- Previous experience working with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities is preferred but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification support.

Pay Range$65,650.00 – $
