Role DescriptionArcadis seeks an experienced Structural Engineer with 6+ years of project experience to join our growing team. If you thrive on complex structural challenges, a wide range of materials, and multidisciplinary collaboration, this role offers clear opportunities to progress into senior technical or project leadership positions. Your responsibilities will include leading key project components, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to high‑quality design solutions across sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, technology, utilities, and rail.
The role welcomes both licensed Professional Engineers (PE) and experienced EIT candidates preparing for the PE exam within the next six months. Some travel for project work and client visits within the United States may be required.
- Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
- Execute technical work with increased complexity requiring senior review.
- Engage across engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Exercise judgment on work details and in selecting and adapting engineering alternatives.
- Perform Construction Administration duties, including field observation reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
- Travel as needed for client meetings and site visits.
- 6+ years of structural engineering project experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Senior EIT candidate preparing for the PE exam within the next six months.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and initiative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of U.S. National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.).
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (RISA, ETABS) and BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
