MEP Mechanical Engineer (Higher Education or Data Centers)
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
+ 7-15 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with higher education or data center projects. (Open to other commercial projects)
+ Proficiency in mechanical engineering design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and temperature control systems.
+ Ability to perform energy and economic analyses for building systems.

Skills & Qualifications
+
Experience with Revit for mechanical design and documentation.
+
Experience with AutoCAD for mechanical design and drafting.
+ Broad mechanical design experience across healthcare, higher education, K-12, and athletics projects.
+ LEED accreditation is a plus.
+ Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to lead and support mechanical engineering design for higher education facilities, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and temperature control systems. You will contribute to projects of varying size and complexity, perform energy and economic analyses, and collaborate closely with project teams and clients. The position is fully remote, with flexible work arrangements available, and involves working on a diverse portfolio that includes healthcare, higher education, K-12, and athletics projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.31/hr.
