What You'll Bring to the Table:- Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering;
Professional Engineer license strongly preferred. - Over 10 years of extensive experience in electrical systems design within consulting or related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of single line diagrams, P&IDs, NFPA standards, and power distribution hardware.
- Hands-on experience with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or BIM software is a plus.
- Proficiency in power system modeling, control systems, and hardware interfacing for industrial projects.
- Skilled in short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing.
- Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software.
- Additional expertise in lighting design, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, hazardous area classification, telecommunications, and energy-efficient design practices.
- Excellent resource management skills, with the ability to delegate CAD work and lead multidisciplinary teams.
Skills:
- Experience with photometrics using AGI
32. - Knowledge of heat trace design, utility interface development, and sustainable energy practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, BICSI guidelines, and US Green Building Council Certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Professional Engineering license highly regarded.
- Willingness to participate in technical seminars, professional organizations, and ongoing education.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors, field teams, and internal departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
