Project Engineer-Solar

A project engineer – solar is needed for a 1‑year contract (W‑2) based in Juno Beach, FL 33408, with remote work allowed. Candidates must reside in or near Florida and be prepared to travel to the office periodically, especially during the first 3‑6 months.

The role involves supporting solar farm design and construction, managing third‑party contractor teams to develop engineering designs, and coordinating with project team members such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers from concept through commissioning.

• Apply value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance across complex systems, with strong knowledge of electrical, structural, civil, and materials disciplines.
• Communicate effectively, coordinating project teams and mobilizing engineers to achieve goals.
• Manage schedules and budgets for major capital projects.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Engineering (electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace, or chemical).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years of engineering and project management experience; less experience may be considered if highly relevant.
• Utility‑scale solar project experience preferred; other power‑industry technologies (wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission) or related fields (aerospace, civil/stormwater) acceptable.

Competitive hourly rate of approximately $55.00–$60.00 per hour, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills. Eligible for health and income protection benefits, a 401(k) savings plan, and paid vacation for qualifying positions.
