Overview

Contractor Engineering Content Developer – Civil Construction (Remote, 1099). The role focuses on authoring chapters and developing content for a PE Civil Construction review manual, drawing on recent exam experience to help candidates prepare for the PE Civil Construction exam.

• Write quiz questions and practice exam questions in the style of NCEES examinations, using your recent PE Civil Construction exam experience.
• Develop and edit content for the PE Civil Construction review manual within the civil/construction engineering discipline.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the review manual is comprehensive and effective for exam candidates.
• Provide feedback on suggested study plans and customer expectations for exam preparation.
• Perform quality assurance and technical reviews of authored content.

• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
• Have recently taken and passed the computer-based testing (CBT) format of the PE Civil exam, Construction section.
• Active PE Certification issued by NCEES in Civil Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Prompt and responsive communication, primarily via email; occasional video meetings during business hours may be required.
• Self-motivated with initiative to develop high-quality content; receptive to feedback and able to meet deadlines.

• Experience tutoring/mentoring/educating engineering students or colleagues in civil or construction engineering.
• Experience creating multiple-choice questions, study materials, PowerPoint presentations, or similar content.

• Contract (1099) position. Projects are assigned via separate contracts with discrete schedules and deliverables related to the PE Civil Construction review manual.
• No set working hours beyond project deadlines.
• Remote/Nationwide, USA. Contractors must supply their own equipment:
  Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader or Professional, Math Type.
• Pay is project-based, typically equivalent to $25–$50 per hour.
