Help protect one of Florida’s most vital resources — water — with a career at the Southwest Florida Water Management District (District).

Within the Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) Bureau, you’ll have the opportunity to conduct professional level technical and administrative engineering work which supports the ERP Compliance Section. The successful candidate will spend the majority of time in post‑permitting compliance; however, this role will involve close coordination with the ERP Evaluation Section. Applies knowledge of engineering principles, project management, scientific findings and environmental laws to evaluate, plan, design and complete water related projects to ensure compliance of regulations and policies.
The District supports employees who prefer a flexible schedule or a remote work schedule so that they can enjoy their time outside of the District through work‑life balance. This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will be required to come on‑site and work a portion of their time remotely (must live in Florida).
