Combine your engineering knowledge and business insights, to vet engineering services, equipment designers and fabricators to help develop a supplier network that will support the Xe-100 high temperature gas cooler reactor. Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier partners to source first-of-a-kind equipment and components critical to reactor success.
Our ideal candidate has a strong, continuing interest in engineering, but has also recognized engineering has an inseparable business connection balancing engineering endeavors with real world capability, cost, and timeline. Candidates with an Engineering degree and a MBA preferred.
JobMinimum Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or Science and an MBA or business degree preferred.
- Typically, 5 years of experience for a Level III, 10 years for a Level IV and 15 years for a Level V.
- Experience with developing scopes of work for services and technical and quality requirements for procurement of equipment.
- Experience in nuclear industry, utility, manufacturing or other highly regulated industry or technical industry.
- Identify and develop equipment and service suppliers to establish a robust supply chain that supports project goals and supply chain regional localization targets.
- Prepare category plans, perform category spend and risk analysis; plan and implement negotiation strategies; design and implement category and supplier risk mitigation strategies; plan and implement contract management for contracts within category.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers relating to contract costing, schedule, Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), and technical requirements. Negotiate and establish long-term strategic supplier agreements to achieve strategic objectives and generate revenue.
- Manage equipment and service contracts to ensure on time purchase and delivery to the project schedule.
- Perform reviews of specifications, equipment datasheets, and Scopes of Work to ensure all technical and quality requirements are specified to facility accurate supplier proposals.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to qualify suppliers, determine correct contract QA requirements, and identify appropriate hold and surveillance activities.
- Develop close working relationships with suppliers and end customers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure that contract terms and conditions are met or exceeded and performance meets customer expectations. Take initiative to resolve supplier performance issues.
