OpportunityMcKinstry is looking to add a Project Engineer – New Construction to our growing New Construction Mechanical team in Seattle. Project CoordinationAs a Project Engineer, you will support the Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement process while tracking current and future jobs, reviewing contracts, drawings, and specifications. You will also help with scheduling, develop scope of work with subcontractors, and prepare monthly financial reporting. To be successful in this position, you must have a strong sense of ownership and be technically sound.
CommunicationAs a Project Engineer, you will communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners. You must possess the confidence to interact with industry leaders and work closely with our project management team to solve problems, gaining hands‑on experience in the field.
DocumentationThis role will create and respond to requests for information (RFI), develop, process, and track equipment, materials, and informational submittals, process change orders, create billing breakdowns, and conduct estimates.
Qualifications- BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of construction concepts preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, estimates preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite required, working knowledge of Salesforce, ViewPoint, and Accubid preferred.

CompensationThe pay range for this position is $29.55 – $48.89 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non‑exempt role paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
