What you will be doing
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and launch innovative new products.
  • Develop product design and engineering test implementation.
  • Participate in product design reviews, DFMEA and validation planning execution.
  • Provide engineering support for existing projects and product improvement projects.
  • Provide qualifications for new/alternate vendors, components, and tooling.
  • Assist in validation of foreign‑sourced competitive products.
  • Define critical‑to‑quality dimensions and features of components and products.
  • Improve existing products.
  • Perform dimensional analysis and product testing as needed.
What you need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related degree (required).
  • Three plus years of related experience (required).
  • Experience with project management (preferred).
  • Experience in the design of pumps or other rotating equipment (preferred).
  • Computer skills:
    • Advanced:
      Creo/Solid Works, PowerPoint, spreadsheet.
    • Intermediate:
      Product lifecycle management, Word processing, data entry.
Skills & Abilities
  • Reads technical drawings and strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Basic knowledge of various manufacturing processes (casting, machining, molding, etc.).
  • Moderate level of analytical ability for complex technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Understands concepts of analytical tools such as finite element analysis.
  • Utilizes common‑sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
