Digital Design Engineer

Job Title

US Citizenship is REQUIRED Work is 100% ON SITE Requires periodic LOCAL travel to university partner labs (No interest in remote workers)

Overview:

Design, verify, integrate, and test FPGA/ASIC solutions

Develop FPGA/ASIC architectures, coding, running simulations, synthesis, creating test benches, and preparing documentation to be reviewed by certification authorities.

Specific Duties:

• Produce detailed design documentation, verification plans and reports.
• Design and development of all custom digital devices (ASIC or FPGA)
• ASIC or FPGA Verification to FAA Standards such as DO-254.
• Develop RTL using VHDL, Verilog, or SV and debug design using simulation tools.
• Timing closure on FPGA designs and generating test benches
• Evaluate process flow e.g., synthesis, place, route, timing constraints, power use

Education and Years Requirements:

• BSEE or BSCE with minimum 5 years of electronic design

Skills and Expertise Requirements:

• Validation of HW in lab using bench tools (scopes, logic analyzers) and debuggers
• Experience in scripting with languages such as TCL, Python, Shell scripts.
• Experience with Actel & Xilinx family tool flows to implement complete designs.
