Job Summary
Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its Tulsa, OK facility. The position is onsite and involves leading World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives, driving cost and labor utilization improvements, and supporting continuous improvement across the plant.
Location & RelocationRelocation available for eligible candidates. No visa sponsorship is being provided by the company at this time.
Responsibilities- Be active in ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product features.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence.
- Utilize strong data analytical skills.
- Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal, working closely with finance to validate potential savings.
- Assist in developing and implementing optimized workflows, layouts, and methods to enhance production flow, minimize waste, and improve resource utilization using lean principles.
- Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operations.
- Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics.
- Support WCM implementation by providing leadership to the continuous improvement group.
- Lead and manage multiple Kaizens of various complexity with minimal oversight.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of industrial engineering or continuous improvement experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other disciplines, with experience in lean manufacturing, time studies, or process optimization.
- Strong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
- Strong knowledge of MODAPTS, Proplanner tools, Autocad.
- Creative problem‑solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectives.
- Outstanding organization, communication, and leadership skills.
- Competent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilities.
- Understanding of factory costs and good financial acumen.
- Always On Flexibility – autonomy to manage personal and family commitments.
- Two‑Week Work from Anywhere – minimum one‑week increments for a total of two weeks per year.
- Sabbatical – four weeks paid leave after every five years of service.
