Senior Process Engineer

We're partnering with an established food ingredients manufacturing company to find a Senior Process Engineer who is passionate about driving operational excellence through process optimization and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives that improve throughput, reduce costs, and support capital projects in a collaborative manufacturing environment with strong work-life balance and growth potential.
What You'll Do- Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and plant performance.
- Identify and execute cost savings and productivity improvement projects using process and operational data.
- Support the design, review, and implementation of capital (Cap Ex) projects.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement and Operational Excellence/Kaizen initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.
- Support HAZOP, Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), and risk assessments.
- Provide technical leadership during equipment startups, troubleshooting, and process investigations.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5-8+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (senior-level candidates encouraged to apply).
- Proven experience leading chemical process optimization and process improvement projects that deliver measurable savings.
- Experience supporting engineering design reviews and Cap Ex projects.
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in industries such as chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, paper, or oil & gas is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of PSM, HAZOP, utilities, or wastewater systems is a plus.
- Base salary: $90,000-$135,000
- Annual performance bonus (target 15%)
