AboutThe Role , Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman Inc. is seeking high energy, dynamic and career minded individuals to work mainly throughout Clay, Putnam, Duval, Nassau, St Johns County areas, but includes all of Northeastern Florida, when necessary. This position will locate and determine a portion of the earth’s surface by planning, conducting, and recording field data for a diverse range of surveys. The proposed candidate shall be results oriented and work well in a team environment.
Additionally, the candidate will be a part of the Baxter & Woodman, Inc. Innovation Group so the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and pioneer new technology is a must.
- Operate survey instruments and equipment for a wide and diverse range of projects such as, topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction, etc.
- Locates and determines land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours, contributing information to and from software and hardware used by B&W Survey Department.
- Supports the department manager and professional land surveyor with recording surveys by preparing notes, records, drawings and applicable field equipment/hardware and software systems.
- Completes projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner within deadlines and budgets.
- Lead survey crew for a wide range of clients and diverse projects.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- High School diploma
- Must have 5+ years of experience on a survey field crew.
- Must have experience completing different types of surveys.
- Experience operating the equipment and training newer staff to familiarize and educate them on field surveying principles, the equipment (including Trimble TSC7/TSC
710 data collectors with Trimble Access software, Leica digital levels, Trimble robotic total stations and GNSS receivers and Spectra Precision GNSS receivers) and all-around survey fundamentals is a must. - LSIT/SI accreditation is a plus.
- AutoCAD/Bentley/TBC experience is a plus.
- CST (Certified Survey Technician I-IV) accreditation is a plus.
- FAA Part 107 Certificate is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service areas (own transportation).
Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $32.00-$45.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
