Job Title: RF Engineer – Network Systems Performance III
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Charlton, MA (Remote candidates will be considered. If located near a company office, an onsite/hybrid arrangement may be discussed during the interview process.)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented RF Engineer III to join a dedicated RF Design support team covering the Big East region. This mid-to-senior level role focuses on RF design support for site modification and small cell deployment projects.
The selected candidate will manage tasks throughout the complete project lifecycle—from initial site review and RF design through regulatory documentation, cell build support, and final in-service implementation. This role requires close collaboration with Real Estate, Construction, Project Management, and RF Engineering teams to ensure successful and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute RF Design activities for site modifications and small cell deployment projects.
- Design, optimize, and support 5
GHR (Tanglewood) wireless networks. - Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot 5G mmWave and C-Band network performance using key RF KPIs.
- Perform RF propagation model tuning to improve simulation accuracy across assigned markets.
- Develop reports and automate workflows using SQL, VB Scripting, and advanced Google Workspace tools, including Apps Script.
- Review and interpret technical and regulatory documentation, including Zoning Drawings (ZD) and Construction Drawings (CDs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Real Estate, Construction, Project Management, and RF Engineering throughout project execution.
- Conduct remote site assessments while remaining available for occasional field visits as required.
- 5–7 years of hands-on RF Engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of RF theory and wireless network design principles.
- Extensive experience designing, optimizing, and adjusting parameters for 5
GHR (Tanglewood) networks.
- Experience analyzing and optimizing 5G mmWave and C-Band network performance.
- Strong knowledge of RF KPIs, network parameters, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting the wireless network/cell build lifecycle.
- Ability to read and interpret Zoning Drawings (ZD) and Construction Drawings (CDs).
- Strong attention to detail with technical documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with RF propagation Model Tuning.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, VB Scripting, and Google Apps Script automation.
- Experience working with millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum.
- Experience using RF engineering tools such as:
- Atoll
- Fuze SPM
- RFDS
- CQ
- Familiarity with the Big East market (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Illinois, etc.).
- Some college or higher education required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field is preferred but not mandatory.
